Time is now for new family breadwinning models
The pandemic has made it obvious: the family is the backbone of society. The availability of fathers at home is changing traditional family nutrition and gender stereotypes. At the same time, there is a start-up culture that requires a huge time commitment from fathers (with a high risk of financial loss) and can be a very challenging career path for them.
As a response to these two developments, Jan Maisenbacher's worldwide Dadpreneurship Community was born in 2021.
Time has come to be a fully present dad while finding new ways of family-breadwinning and purpose-driven entrepreneurship. As Dadpreneur.

How I experience Dadpreneurship
Dadpreneurship - a new catchy terminology that combines Fatherhood and Entrepreneurship advancing gender diversity.
Dadpreneurship means for me in the year 2021:
- Fatherhood
More physical family presence and egalitarian assumption of care work - a paradigm shift towards "caring masculinity". This change is the ultimate tightrope act for many fathers.
- Entrepreneurship
A socially respected career path associated with high risk (start-up culture requiring considerable time and financial resources).
- Dadpreneurship
A balanced family life with egalitarian care work + purposeful and meaningful independence as a dadpreneur + shared responsibility for family breadwinning with the partner.
