The pandemic has made it obvious: the family is the backbone of society. The availability of fathers at home is changing traditional family nutrition and gender stereotypes. At the same time, there is a start-up culture that requires a huge time commitment from fathers (with a high risk of financial loss) and can be a very challenging career path for them.
As a response to these two developments, Jan Maisenbacher's worldwide Dadpreneurship Community was born in 2021.

How I experience Dadpreneurship
Dadpreneurship - a new catchy terminology that combines Fatherhood and Entrepreneurship advancing gender diversity.
Dadpreneurship means for me in the year 2021:
- Fatherhood
More physical family presence and egalitarian assumption of care work - a paradigm shift towards "caring masculinity". This change is the ultimate tightrope act for many fathers.
- Entrepreneurship
Associated with high risk taking (all financial and time-demanding start-up culture), socially honored career-path
- Dadpreneurship
A balanced family life with egalitarian care work + purposeful and meaningful independence as a dadpreneur + shared responsibility for family breadwinning with the partner.

Magicprojects & Co (Creators)
The magic impulse came from Jan Maisenbacher who is Dadpreneur since 2017 with his sole proprietorship magicprojects.
Jan lives with his two sons and his wife in Adligenswil near Lucerne.
Before starting his valuable family magic project, he completed the Executive Masters in Business Engineering at the University of St. Gallen.
Since 2021, numerous "midwives" have helped to bring the Dadpreneurship Community to life. And yes: they are primarily fathers...
